NHS Training Needs Analysis (TNA) Consulting - Comprehensive
Training Course Objectives
The comprehensive Training Needs Analysis will involve iTrain putting together a full matrix of training requirements that are required to enable End Users to comfortably fulfil their role using ESR.

Training Course Prerequisites
- Pre Scoping Call between iTrain Education Consutant and Trust Representative
- Identify Employees that require a TNA completed
- Suitable timeslots have been arranged for each user to be interviewed by an iTrain Education Consultant
- Pre TNA questionaire completed by each employee
Training Course Duration
1 Day
Preparation before onsite visit
Pre Scoping Call between iTrain Education Consutant and Trust Representative
- This call will identfy what areas the trust are wanting to focus on and what they feel there present problems are. This initial call will also identify the what the iTrain and Trust responsibilities and next steps are before the visit.
Identify Employees that require a TNA
- It is important that the trusts identifies the relevant group of employees that are intended to benefit from the TNA and that the expectation of the employees are managed and that all those involved in the TNA have time to consider their requirements.
Account Manager Pre/Post Scoping
- This call will be to book a date for the sit visit, clarify responsibilites and site details.
Suitable timeslots have been arranged for iTrain trainer interviews
- Post booking the visit date, all employees will need to to be allocated timeslots. Each employee will have a 15 minute timeslot with a maximum of 20 employees.
Pre TNA questionaire completed by each employee
- A questionaire will be distubted to the trust prior to the visit for each employee to complete. The questionaire will help the Education Consultant to establish some of the gaps in learning.
Onsite Task List
Interview Employees
- Each Employee will have a 15 minute interview slot to discuss their needs and to complete some additional questions.
Analysis of Pre TNA Questionaire
- The education consultant will then spend some time working through the results of the wuestionaire.
Draft Proposal of Support
- A full proposal will be written by the Eductaion Consultant, incorporating the results of the TNA and a suggested plan of action to cater for the requirements.
Post departure meeting discussion
- A half hour meeting will be arranged for the end of the consulting day to disucss the outcomes of the TNA, a topline overview of the proposal and any other ESR requirements that may require discussion.
Post Visit
Commercial Proposal
- The proposal that has been written by the Education Consultant will the be reviewed by the commercial team and a relevant cost applied to the suggested plan of action.
Release of TNA
- The Proposal will be released to the client inclusive of the TNA.
Follow up call from Account Manager
- The account manager will then make contact after the release of the proposal to discuss if there is any further support required.
