Java and Web Training
The Java development training programme is represented by core Java Programming training and J2EE training, alongside Oracle JDeveloper training - Oracle's flagship Java development tool.
Our Java training and Web training provide an understanding of the object-oriented approach which will enable your business to move forward; your people can utilise powerful tools for both fast development and robust design.
Please select the Java training course category or Web training course category:
Web Foundation Courses
These training courses focus on the core skills that underpin web development: HTML, JavaScript and XML.
These core web components are available individually (HTML, JavaScript, XML) or collectively as a full introduction to web programming and development and related technologies. ( HTML, JavaScript, XML 5 day)
Java Development Courses
These IT training courses provide the full spectrum of Java content.
Should you require an overview of Java, be that core or server-side we offer our J2EE overview course, tailorable for either management focussed or developer specific content.
Core Java Programming forms the basis for Java learning, comprising core language and object oriented principals for those new to the concepts of inheritance, encapsulation and it's useful consequences, polymorphism and composition, building on these skills and taking attendees to a firm level of Java language understanding. For more details please see the Java FAQ section.
If you are approaching a server-side Java, or J2EE/JEE application, you will find a selection of courses that provide coverage of this extensive area. Full Java Enterprise Edition coverage (J2EE) is available as a comprehensive introduction to the main aspects of the specification.
If not utilising EJB, we have the Java specific Web Developer Workshop for solid coverage of core Java web programming, together with the optional addition of Apache Struts for our extended 5 day Java web workshop.
For a specific Java technology focus, we have a selection of framework/tool courses to meet your needs, read on for more details.
Java Web Services aims to introduce web services and the associated industry standards and techniques from a Java perspective. Web services are usually core to a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) where functionality is grouped around business processes and packaged as services.
For those seasoned Java/OO programmers, or indeed those that simply wish to delve a little deeper, Java Design Patterns is a practical coverage of techniques born of experience. These recurring solutions to design problems should be in every Java developers toolbox, and are applicable to many situations and frameworks available in the Java marketplace.
For more Oracle-specific Java coverage, we cover the Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF). This commercial Java framework for enterprise applications provides a visual and declarative approach to RAD J2EE development, is free to all of those that own an Oracle Application Server licence, and is embedded into Oracle JDeveloper. Oracle see ADF as the natural progression for Oracle Forms developers moving into the Java world: providing a declarative, design pattern based, meta-data driven approach to building web applications with Oracle technology.
Within ADF, as well as optionally independant of it, lies the object-relational mapping framework Oracle TopLink. A part of the Oracle Fusion Middleware family, a suite of standards based products for Java development, integration, BI, collaboration, and content management, TopLink essentially offers a flexible and productive means of storing Java objects and EJB's in the database, offering both excellent performance and the choice of both database, application server, and J2EE architecture.
